Join our experienced guides on this exclusive tour dedicated to the castle’s architecture looking at the people responsible for its baronial style, exquisite plaster work ceilings and Victorian upgrades. In addition, the tour will focus on the castle’s extensive art collection including one of the most complete portrait collections in the country. This tour will take you through the changing styles of each century and give you insight into the artists.

The tour will last approximately one and a half hours.

A light lunch provided by our local bakery, Firebrick, is available to book in addition to the tour. This will be served in the Victorian Kitchen and will include sandwiches with salad, chutney and coleslaw followed by cake and a chocolate treat and refreshments – a perfect way to complete such a special day.
