This 16th Century castle, complete with ballroom, stables, courtyard and vaulted cellars is a readymade filming location, near Edinburgh in the Scottish Borders. The castle is full of character, featuring grand interiors and beautiful grounds, juxtaposed against more rustic settings.

Cast and crew can stay in the castle’s luxury accommodation, throughout the duration of filming. Upon request, we can offer full exclusive use of your chosen filming locations on the Thirlestane Estate, with full privacy and discretion applied.

We have the location and the capacity to host both large and small-scale filming projects. The Castle and its grounds can be used for as long as is required, as cast and crew can stay onsite in our luxury castle accommodation.
