NOW LIVE: Six Sustainable Woodland Lodges within the Thirlestane Estate

With the rise of the staycation in the UK, the demand for high quality, yet affordable holiday accommodation has grown, and we’re excited to announce the launch of a small, sustainable development of six luxury wooden lodges that will sit in harmony within an area of woodland north-east of Thirlestane Castle.

Consisting of two two-bedroom and four three-bedroom timber-clad lodges, sympathetic to the landscape with trees and shrubs planted between each unit for privacy.

The lodges feature renewable energy sources including a ground source heat pump and solar panels. There are also charging points for electric vehicles at each lodge.

Each lodge has its own decking, a bike store, and a private hot tub so couples, families with children, and groups of friends can take full advantage of the beautiful and peaceful setting.  They are fully centrally heated for ultimate comfort and cosiness.

Expect plenty to do for the more outdoorsy and adventurous of you. The woodland lodges are perfectly situated to make the most of the surrounding area and the nearby town of Lauder is easily accessible from the site with plenty of great places to eat and drink and shops selling local produce.

As the accommodation is moments away from the Southern Upland Way, walkers can hook onto the fabulous trails and enjoy long walks in the countryside.
