Events at Thirlestane Castle
Civil War Re-Enactment Weekend
Saturday 24th June & Sunday 25th June - 10am-4pm
The oldest re-enactment society, the Sealed Knot, is coming to Thirlestane Castle to bring to life the history of Scotland's involvement in the Civil Wars. They will be delving into what it was like in the 17th Century for both the military and ordinary people.
Soldiers, muskets, pikes and drums in drill displays, life on the living history camp and a skirmish will be all part of the weekend. An education and an experience not to be missed.
